How Update Hardware works
Change the I/O port direction on the camera (for example, from Input to Output) using the camera’s web interface.
Open XProtect Management Client.
Navigate to Recording Servers → Cameras.
Right‑click the camera and select Update Hardware.
Complete the update wizard.
During the update process, XProtect re‑detects the camera’s hardware capabilities and updates the device configuration.
