Registering a Site on the Hub

Sites are registered by Hub users as follows.

  1. Log into the Hub client and open the Sites tab.

  2. Click the Register a new site button.

  3. In the New Site Registration screen enter details for the site. Note that for the Site URL, it is recommended to use a hostname and not an IP address. In addition, the URL must begin with http:// or https:// and should not include the /app suffix.

  4. Click Save. The site will now appear on the Site list with a status of Pending. When the site starts sending data or when the health check mechanism for the site receives a positive response, you’ll see the Connected status. When the site receives a negative response for a duration greater than two minutes (by default), you’ll see the Disconnected status.

  5. From the Summary screen, make a copy of the Site ID and send it to the Site administrator.
