  • The Use HTTPS option does not affect the connection

  • The port number does not affect the connection.

  • Communication with Axis devices is always secured, as all connections are established through Axis Cloud Connect.

  • A constant connection to the cloud is required. If Axis Cloud is not accessible, the Axis Cloud-connected devices will appear offline.

  • Devices onboarded through Axis Cloud Access use cloud‑based hostnames, which always start with AxisCloud….

These settings are handled automatically and do not require manual configuration.
