The Express option automatically detects and adds all Axis devices that have been onboarded through Axis Cloud Access.

  1. In the Add Hardware wizard, select Express (recommended).

  2. Click Next.

    At this step, XProtect prompts for credentials as part of the standard Add Hardware workflow.

    Note

    These credentials are not used for device communication. Axis Cloud Access authenticates to devices using your Axis Cloud authorization.

  3. Add a username and password if needed and click Add.

  4. Click Next.

    XProtect automatically detects all onboarded Axis Cloud devices.

    During detection, the devices appear in the list with:

    • Address starting with AxisCloud…

    • Port 443

    • Detected hardware model

    • Status Success when detection completes

  5. Verify that the detected devices are selected.

  6. Click Next and complete the wizard.

After completion, the devices appear under the selected Recording Server and are ready for use.
