Upgrading Multi-Site Environments

Last Updated: 1 minute read

For information about upgrading, see the BriefCam Upgrade Guide.

Keep in mind that when upgrading a multi-site environment, you will need to uninstall and reinstall NGINX on both the Hub and the Sites, following the steps in the NGINX Installation of the BriefCam installation Guide..

In addition, after upgrading:

  1. In the Hub’s OutboundApiGateway.ServiceUrl environment setting, make sure that its pointing to the Hub endpoint (and does not include a port number). For example: http://company.multisite.hub/OutboundAPIGateway.

  2. In the Hub’s OutboundApiGateway.ServiceUrl.InternalPort environment setting, make sure that it is set to the relevant port. By default it should be set to 5005.

  3. On the sites’ Multisite.HubBaseExternalUrl environment setting, make sure that the value matches the value that you set above in the Hub’s OutboundApiGateway.ServiceUrl environment setting.

  4. On the sites, the following environment settings should also include the virtual path:

    • Respond.ExternalUrlUploadAlerts: http(s)://<hub FQDN (NGINX Address)>/outboundapigateway/AlertProcessing/process-alert

    • Nexus.HubBIGatewayAddress: http(s)://<hub FQDN (NGINX Address)>/hubBIGateway

  5. Make sure that the Nexus.HubBIGatewayAddress.InternalPort environment setting is set to 5007. If in previous versions the port of the HUB BI Gateway service pointed to a different port, then change it here as well.
