Converting an Existing BriefCam Environment into a Site

As of BriefCam 2024 M1 HF1, if you want to convert an existing BriefCam environment into a Site:

  1. Download the update_sideid_for_research.bat script from the BriefCam Downloads page.

  2. Save the script to the same location where the SetLogFileName.bat file is saved.

  3. Run the update_siteid_for_research.bat script as the BriefCam user (by default: bcuser).

  4. Make sure the Site.Id environment setting is set with a valid URL. Remember that the site registration is done on the Hub. For additional information, see the Registering a Site on the Hub section.)

Once this is done, pre-existing rules and sources will be sent to the Hub.
