Update XProtect Cloud Connector

Milestone regularly improves the XProtect Cloud Connector. To make sure you are running the latest version, check for upgrades at https://www.milestonesys.com/download/.

You can apply the updates to an existing version of the XProtect Cloud Connector, by downloading and installing the updater. The updater keeps your current settings and configurations, so you do not have to reconnect your VMS installation to XProtect Remote Manager.

To update theXProtect Cloud Connector:

  1. Download the latest update package from the Milestone Support Community page, see https://supportcommunity.milestonesys.com/s/article/XProtect-Cloud-Connector-Updater-download

  2. On the management server host, double-click on the installer to run the wizard.

  3. Read and accept the XProtect Remote Manager terms of use.

    The system compares your current XProtect Cloud Connector version with the downloaded version. If the downloaded version is the same or newer than the installed version, select Install to update your XProtect Cloud Connector.

    During the installation, your VMS installation will temporarily stop reporting to the VMS.

  4. When the installation is complete, you can close the installation wizard. The VMS installation starts reporting to the XProtect Remote Manager again.
