Devices and device components

In XProtect Remote Manager, you can see devices and device components that have been added to the XProtect VMS.

• A device in XProtect Remote Manager is any piece of hardware that you can add as hardware to a recording server in the XProtect VMS.

• A device can have multiple components. For example, an IP camera can have a built-in camera, microphone, and speaker.

You can view the properties of the devices, and enable, or disable them. To make any changes in the devices and device components, you must log in to XProtect Management Client.
