Change device passwords
You can update the passwords of multiple devices simultaneously.
When you change a device password, the device will temporarily lose connection to the recording server.
To change a device password:

Select the site the device belongs to. To see a list of all sites that have been added by an organization, see Get an overview of your sites.

Select Devices from the panel on the left-hand side.

Select the devices you want to change passwords for by selecting the checkbox in the left-most column.

Click Device actions and select Change passwords.

Select the method for password change that you want to use:

System-generated password (recommended). Let the system generate passwords based on the requirements from the manufacturer of the hardware devices.

User-defined password. Manually specify a new password for all selected devices.
Then, click on Next. The system changes the device passwords and generates a report with the result.

(Optional) Click Generate report to create a Excel spreadsheet of the new password.
In case you want to change the password on the hardware devices that failed, click Retry, and the wizard starts over with the failed hardware devices.
Due to security restrictions, some hardware devices might become unavailable for a certain period if you fail to change password several times in a row. Security restrictions vary for different manufacturers.
