View camera properties

You can view camera properties for a device with an enabled camera device component. The drivers for the cameras determine the content on the page. The drivers vary depending on the type of camera, but typically they include properties such as:

• Video preview. XProtect Remote Manager only supports the H.264 codec for video previews. Depending on the selected resolution and bandwidth, the quality of the video previews might differ from the actual video quality.

• Frames per second

• Codec

• Resolution.

To view camera properties:

1. Select the site the device belongs to. To see a list of all sites that have been added by an organization, see Get an overview of your sites.

2. Select Devices from the panel on the left-hand side and expand the recording server the device has been added to. Then, click on the device name to open the device page.
