Settings overview
From the Settings menu, you can define how the tool downloads and installs updates on the hosts.
You can open Settings from the 
icon in the upper-right corner of the tool.
Name | Description |
|---|---|
Local files | A folder on the update server host that contains the available updates. You can copy existing updates to this location or use XProtect Update Manager to download available updates from the Milestone repository. |
Online updates | To view and download new updates from the Milestone repository, you must enable this setting. |
Interval | Select how often the update server will connect to the Milestone repository to check for new updates. You can manually refresh the list of available updates using the Refresh button from the Updates and Hosts tabs. |
Check hosts every... | Select how much time should pass before the server considers the host unavailable. |
Maximum concurrent updates on hosts | To prevent network flooding, you can select the maximum number of hosts to be updated simultaneously. |
