Enable or disable a device

All devices are enabled by default. An enabled device sends data, such as video streams, to the XProtect VMS. You can disable the device to temporarily stop the feed without removing the connection to the VMS.

To enable or disable added devices:

  1. Select the site the device belongs to. To see a list of all sites that have been added by an organization, see Get an overview of your sites.

  2. Select Devices from the panel on the left-hand side and expand the recording server the device had been added to. Then, click on the device name to open the device page.

  3. Select the button under the device name. If the device is enabled, you can disable it. If it is disabled, you can enable it.

Your changes are saved automatically.
