Enable or disable a device component
All devices are enabled by default. An enabled device component sends data, such as video streams, to the XProtect VMS. You can disable the device component to temporarily stop the feed without removing the connection to the VMS.
To enable or disable added device components:
Select the site the device belongs to. To see a list of all sites that have been added by an organization, see Get an overview of your sites.
Select Devices and expand the recording server the device had been added to. Then, click on the device name to open the device page.
From the panel on the left-hand side, select your device component.
Note
If you have disabled the device component, click on Show under Disabled device components to expand the list of disabled components.
Select the button under the device component name. If the device is enabled, you can disable it. If it is disabled you can enable it.
Your changes are saved.
