To connect your XProtect VMS installation, you must first add a site in XProtect Remote Manager.

A site is a VMS installation where the management server and related VMS components run on one or more hosts and can cover multiple physical locations. When you add a site, it becomes visible to all users in your organization.

If you want to grant access to your sites to people outside your organization, see Grant other people access to your sites.

To add a site:

  1. In the upper right-hand corner, click the account name and select Add a site.

  2. Specify a unique name for your site.

  3. The system generates a one-time key. Share the key with the person who manages the XProtect system on the site.

You have successfully added your site to XProtect Remote Manager. It will remain in the Pending state until you connect it with a VMS installation using the one-time key.

Note

The one-time key is valid for 24 hours. If it has expired, you can generate a new key from the home page of XProtect Remote Manager.
