[en] The log server migration copies existing log data from the log server to VictoriaLogs or your monitoring solution. It does not affect system configuration data and is optional.
[en] If you do not migrate existing logs, historical log data remains in the log server and is removed automatically according to its retention settings.

[en] Components that are not yet upgraded continue to send logs to the log server.
[en] Upgraded components send logs to Server Logs.
[en] Run the migration
[en] On the log server computer, go to:
C:\Program Files\Milestone\XProtect Management Server\Tools\LogServerMigrationTool
[en] Run:
VideoOS.LogServer.Migrate.exe
[en] A console window opens briefly and then closes automatically. No progress information or confirmation message is displayed.
[en] The absence of messages does not indicate an error. The migration tool runs without user interaction.
迁移后
日志服务器中的现有日志数据可以与服务器日志中较新的日志条目一起使用。
当您不再需要日志服务器时，可以停止使用它并允许保留设置删除任何剩余数据。
