Authenticating and Authorizing Axis Cloud Access
After the installation completes, the registration process redirects you to the Axis authentication page.
Sign in with your Axis credentials.
Select the Axis Cloud organization you want to use.
Approve access for Axis Cloud Access to the selected organization.
Note
An organization can be connected to only one Axis Cloud Access installation. Multiple installations cannot connect to the same organization. Each Axis Cloud Access installation must connect to its own organization. You can create multiple organizations, and they can belong to the same account.
After authorization is completed, you are redirected back to http://localhost:8888, where you can continue with device onboarding.
Note
The ACA application communicates with Axis Cloud via OAuth2.0 tokens. If this token is missing or invalidated (for whatever reason), XProtect stops operating with the Axis Cloud Connect devices. The ACA application will redirect the end-user to the Axis page to authorize (sign in and choose an Organization). Once authorized, the token is securely stored on the Recording Server and timely refreshed, and reauthorization is not required even after a restart.
