As an alternative to manual activation, Axis Cloud Connect can be enabled remotely using the following curl command:

curl -X POST --digest -u "{CAMERA_USERNAME}:{PASSWORD}" -H "Content-Type: application/json" -d "{\"apiVersion\":\"1.0\",\"method\":\"setConfig\",\"params\":{\"state\":\"enabled\"}}" http://{CAMERA_IP}/axis-cgi/remoteservice.cgi

Replace the following values:

  • {CAMERA_USERNAME} – Device root username

  • {PASSWORD} – Device root password

  • {CAMERA_IP} – IP address of the device

Note

This method is intended for advanced users and can be used when physical access to the device is not available.
