Add Emergency Alert alarms

When a potential threat is detected, Emergency Alert enables XProtect Mobile client users to receive alarm notifications of the highest severity level, view the alarm details, and immediately act. Emergency Alert is a type of alarm you define in XProtect Management Client.

For this functionality to work, it requires push notifications. Push notifications are available only if you have purchased a Milestone Care Plus license.

The feature is only available in certain XProtect VMS products. See the complete feature list, which is available on the product overview page on the Milestone website (https://www.milestonesys.com/products/software/xprotect-comparison/).

To add such an alarm, you must:

1. Add a new alarm category with level 99 in Alarms > Alarm Data Settings. You can create as many categories with level 99 as you need.

2. Add an alarm definition with this category.
