The Dell OpenManage Server Administrator application

Your Milestone Husky unit contains the Dell OpenManage Server Administrator application (OMSA), which is a browser-based software agent that can help you configure, monitor, maintain and troubleshoot your system.

Dell OpenManage Server Administrator enables you to obtain information regarding the status of your unit’s hardware, such as hard drives, firmware, memory and other central elements of your machine.

You can also use the OpenManage Server Administrator to solve or mitigate some of the issues that might arise, such as create, configure, and manage system alarms, configure and rebuild RAID hard drives, as well as gain an overview of your general system health (temperature, CPU usage, memory status, and more) and set up remote server access.

Accessing Dell OpenManage Server Administrator

The shortcut to Dell OpenManage Server Administrator is located on the desktop of your Milestone Husky unit and is named System Administrator.

You must create a username and password the first time you access the Dell OpenManage Server Administrator login page.
Use your Windows username and password and you must have administrator privileges to make changes.

The login page does not contain a certificate and will trigger a Your connection isn’t private browser warning when opened.
