Integration Plugin Installation
The address in Orchid needs to be in the following format: http://<hostname>:<port>.
The port value is optional (port 80 is used by default).
The port value needs to match the port specified in the Orchid Fusion installation, which is the same port used for the Orchid web client.
L2 Integration (RESPOND) with Orchid Fusion Versions Earlier than 25.6.0
To enable L2 integration (RESPOND) between BriefCam and Orchid Fusion for versions earlier than 25.6.0:
Establish an OpenVPN Connection (if the customer's VMS environment is hosted by IPConfigure). An OpenVPN connection must be configured on the BriefCam server to securely connect to the customer’s recorders, which are hosted by IPConfigure.
Request the necessary VPN configuration files and credentials from IPConfigure.
Update the
hostsfile on the BriefCam machine. For proper DNS resolution, thehostsfile on the BriefCam server must be updated to include mappings of recorder hostnames to their IP addresses.Request a spreadsheet with the list of recorders from IPConfigure. This list will be updated periodically as new recorders are added.
Uncomment the
UseRecorderRtspProxyForLivesetting and set its value to true in theBriefCam.OrchidFusion.iniplugin settings file.
Known Limitations
Support for the H.265 format is done per request. If you want to use the H.265 format with this VMS, please contact BriefCam’s support.
