Fetching Issues
One indication that you have a fetching issue is in the REVIEW module's Status column:

Most fetching issues are due to one of the following:
Missing plugin
Wrong plugin version
Unsupported VMS
No recordings found on the VMS for the requested period
VMS service is stopped or the server is down
Permissions issue
If you suspect that you have encountered an error related to fetching, try the following:
Start by checking that all of the services are running. For additional information, see the Basic Troubleshooting section.
Install the specific VMS client on the same machine as the BriefCam server and try to access archived video and export video. If that works, it means that the problem is with BriefCam.
Use the Video Integration Tester – Test the connection to the VMS outside of BriefCam. If video can be fetched, then we can rule out a problem with fetching.
Check the
FetchingService.logfile located at:C:\Program Files\BriefCam\BriefCam Server\logs.Keep in mind that the distance between machines affects the fetching.
Check that the BriefCam server, VMS, and Standalone APS are all on the same timezone.
Check the Fetching.TimeoutInSeconds setting in the Environment Settings’ VSServer section.
By default, every request is divided into 4 hour tasks, which are divided into 5 minute chunks. Timeout for fetching a video is 2 minutes for every 5 minute chunk. (All of the values can be changed.)
Every fetcher (by default 2 parallel fetchers) will start taking 5 minute chunks and fetch them. If a fetcher fails to download a 5 minute chunk of video in 2 minutes, it will fail this specific chunk.
