When trying to get a live stream from a Genetec VMS, why does the live image fail and the VSServer gets an exception that it is unable to connect to the camera? 

This happens when the RTSP Settings toggle when connecting to the VMS was not used. To solve this issue, open the BriefCam.GenetecSc59Fetcher.ini file located in the plugins folder and add the following:

[Live] UseRTSPLiveDecoder=false
