Why am I seeing “Drop frame” warnings in the ProcessingService log with the Avigilon integration?

If you encounter persistent "Drop frame: ..." warnings in the ProcessingService log after installing Avigilon 7.14, you may need to adjust the DropFramesLimit setting. This setting determines the number of frames that can be skipped during decoding without triggering an error.

To increase the DropFramesLimit:

  1. Locate the plugins\Briefcam.AvigilonIntegration61.ini file.

  2. Open the file and find the DropFramesLimit setting.

  3. Change the value to 30.4.

  4. Save the file and restart the Avigilon service.
