User Account Control (UAC) is a security feature in Windows that prompts users for permission before allowing applications to make changes requiring administrator-level privileges.

When you install or update XProtect Update Manager or XProtect VMS components remotely, UAC might prevent you from completing the update on the remote host.

We strongly recommend that you disable UAC before or immediately after installing XProtect Update Manager. This ensures that you do not need to manually approve actions on the host, allowing the tool to complete updates automatically.
