Alarms can be triggered by various events, such as a camera stopping working, a pane of glass getting shattered, or a blacklisted license plate being seen on camera.

Note

To view alarms, ask your system administrator to set up alarms and give you the required user permissions.

  1. Open Alarms:

    • Android - Tap Alarms.

    • iOS - Tap MobC_iOS_alarms.png.

  2. From the All alarms list, find the alarm you want to view and tap it to open the alarm details screen.

On the alarm details screen:

  1. You can view or change:

    • The state of the alarm

    • The person to whom the alarm is assigned

    • The priority of the alarm.

  2. You can also view:

    • The event that has triggered the alarm

    • The time of the occurrence

    • Additional instruction text, if any

    • The name of the source action related to the alarm.

  3. To play the video from the source camera directly on the alarm details screen, tap MobC_Android_Play_icon_I.png on the video thumbnail.

  4. If there is more than one camera associated with this alarm, you can tap the message about seeing the associated cameras to open the grid view and check the recordings from all cameras.

  5. You can also play the video from the source camera in playback mode and use the timeline controls. To do that, tap MobC_Android_Playback_icon_I.png (Android) or MobC_iOS_Playback_icon_I.png (iOS) to open the screen with the video playback.

  6. To see where the source camera is located on Smart Map, tap MobC_Android_SmartMap_icon_I.png (Android) or MobC_iOS_SmartMap_icon_I.png (iOS).

On the screen with the video playback:

  1. You can use the timeline controls to play the video backward or forward. You can also add a bookmark to quickly locate sequences in the recording.

  2. If the camera has audio devices (microphone and speaker) attached, you can listen to incoming and outgoing recorded audio when you play the video forward at normal speed (see Find and view video recordings).

  3. You can create an investigation to save the video for later or share it with others. To do that, tap MobC_Android_Investigate_icon_I.png (Android) or MobC_iOS_Investigation_icon_I.png (iOS). You can also specify the time to define the period you want to investigate. Then, tap Create.

  4. To take a snapshot of the video you are viewing, tap MobC_Android_Snapshot_icon_I.png (Android) or MobC_iOS_Snapshot_icon_I.png (iOS).

  5. To enable the picture-in-picture mode, tap MobC_Android_PiP_icon_I.png (Android) or MobC_iOS_PiP_icon_I.png (iOS).

  6. To go to the list of all recordings from this camera, tap MobC_Android_History_icon_I.png (Android) or MobC_iOS_History_icon_I.png (iOS).
