Name | Description |
|---|---|
Sender e-mail address | Enter the e-mail address that you want to appear as the sender of e-mail notifications for all notification profiles. Example: |
Mail server address | Enter the address of the SMTP mail server used to send e-mail notifications. Example: |
Mail server port | Enter the TCP port used to connect to the mail server. The default port for unencrypted connections is 25. Encrypted connections typically use ports 465 or 587. |
Encrypt the connection to the server | Encrypts communication between the management server and the SMTP mail server using STARTTLS. STARTTLS upgrades an existing unencrypted connection to an encrypted connection using SSL/TLS. |
Server authentication | Select the authentication method required by your e-mail service provider. None: Connect without authentication. Basic: Authenticate using a user name and password. Client credentials flow: Authenticate using OAuth 2.0 client credentials flow. Authorization code flow: Authenticate using OAuth 2.0 authorization code flow. Some providers are moving away from password-based authentication and may require an OAuth 2.0 authentication method instead. Refer to your e-mail provider's documentation for the recommended authentication method. |
Client ID | Enter the client ID from your e-mail provider's OAuth 2.0 configuration. The client ID identifies the application when requesting access to send e-mail. |
Client secret | Enter the client secret from your e-mail provider's OAuth 2.0 configuration. The client secret is used together with the client ID to authenticate the application. |
Token endpoint | Enter the token endpoint URL from your e-mail provider's OAuth 2.0 configuration. The management server uses this URL to obtain access tokens for authentication. |
Scope | Enter the scope value from your e-mail provider's OAuth 2.0 configuration. The scope defines the permissions requested when obtaining an access token. |
Refresh token | Enter the refresh token from your e-mail provider's OAuth 2.0 configuration, if required. The management server uses the refresh token to obtain new access tokens when existing tokens expire. |
