[en] Use VictoriaLogs to view and investigate server logs

[en] VictoriaLogs provides access to audit logs, system logs, and rule-triggered logs collected from across the XProtect system. Use the VictoriaLogs interface to search, filter, and investigate log data.

[en] Investigate log activity

[en] You can combine the time filter and search field to investigate specific events and activities in the system, for example:

  • [en] Review recent system activity

  • [en] Investigate user actions in audit logs

  • [en] Trace related events using a correlation ID

  • [en] Find activity related to a specific server, user, or resource

[en] Filter by time range

[en] Use the time filter at the top of the page to select the date and time range you want to view.

[en] Filter by column value

[en] Use the format:

[Column]:[Value] 

[en] For columns that contain spaces, enclose the column name in quotation marks:

"Log type":System

[en] Search log entries

[en] Enter a query in the search field to filter the displayed log entries. Common examples:

[en] Show all logs

[en] Find entries containing a specific word, e.g. device
