OpenTelemetry Audit Logs

OpenTelemetry

Last Updated: 1 minute read

OpenTelemetry is a standardized, open-source framework for collecting and exporting telemetry data (traces, metrics, logs) from applications and services. It’s designed to unify observability across distributed systems, re-gardless of language or platform [5].

OpenTelemetry has rapidly become the industry standard for observability, with widespread adoption across the ecosystem. It is supported by multiple observability vendors and integrated into countless libraries, services, and applications. Major platforms such as Datadog, New Relic, Splunk, Dynatrace, Chronosphere, Elastic, and Grafana have built native support for OpenTelemetry into their offerings [6].
