All XProtect services installed on the same machine or node will refer to the same file.
By default, the file is initialized with a disabled configuration to prevent services from attempting to initialize a logging pipeline that has not yet been configured. Incorrect settings can prevent services from starting up properly.
Follow these steps to ensure that the configuration file is set correctly:
In the providers section, ensure that the “endpoint” is set correctly and that it follows the OTLP/HTTP stand-
"OpenTelemetry-Server": { "Exporters": [
{
"Endpoint": "http://localhost:4318/v1/logs"
}
]
}
In the “LocalizedLoggers”, under the “Server” logger, “LogLanguage” must be set to one of the supported
"LocalizedLoggers": { "Server": {
"LogLanguage": "en-US", "LogLevel": "Information",
"Providers": [ "OpenTelemetry-Server" ]
}
}
"LocalizedLoggers": { "Server": {
"LogLanguage": "en-US", "LogLevel": "Information",
"Providers": [ "OpenTelemetry-Server" ]
}
}
"OpenTelemetry-Server": { "Exporters": [

}
]
}
"LocalizedLoggers": { "Server": {
"LogLanguage": "en-US", "LogLevel": "Information",

}
Enable the configuration by updating the name of the root element from:
"LogConfiguration_Disabled"
To:
"LogConfiguration"
