Create a password for the XProtect VMS

If you have already activated your license, you don't need to take any action.
Your username remains the same across all Milestone services. However, to activate licenses for the XProtect VMS, you must create a VMS password in Milestone Customer Dashboard.
To activate the licenses for newer XProtect versions, use your Milestone username and password.
To create a password:
In the upper right-hand corner of Milestone Customer Dashboard., select your login name, then select User settings.
On the User settings page, under VMS password, enter your new password. Your password must be:
Between 8 and 127 characters long
Contain lowercase letters, uppercase letters, and digits
Contain at least one special character. The allowed characters are: ! \ # $ % & ( ) * + , - . / : ; < = > ? @ [ ] ^ _ ` { | } ~
You can now activate your license with your Milestone username and the password you created in Milestone Customer Dashboard.
