With XProtect 2025 R3, XProtect Smart Client is not included in the VMS installation package and must be downloaded separately. To download the latest version of XProtect Smart Client, go to the https://www.milestonesys.com/download/ site.

Upgrade XProtect Smart Client

Upgrading your installation of XProtect Smart Client is similar to the initial installation process. To upgrade, you first need to uninstall the current version and then install the newer version. We recommend using a version of XProtect Smart Client that is more recent than the version of the management server.
