What should I do if the license becomes broken?

Sometimes the license becomes broken due to HASP driver issues. One reason this might occur is because of a Windows update. In this case, you need to reinstall the driver manually:

  1. Download the HASPDINST driver installer from here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/2k9x4p18uxu7p2f/haspdinst.exe?dl=0

  2. Save the driver installer on the relevant BriefCam machine (the one(s) with the remote license issue).

  3. Run CMD as admin and navigate to the haspdinst folder.

  4. Run the haspdinst.exe file with -r -purge to remove it: haspdinst.exe -r -purge.

  5. Run the haspdinst.exe file again but this time with -i to install it: haspdinst.exe -i.

  6. Verify that you can access: http://localhost:1947.
