Enabling the Map View
You can add a Map view to the REVIEW and RESPOND modules. In the Map view, case and non-case cameras and files are displayed on a map with easy access to the detected objects and quick addition of cameras to the case. In addition, users can visualize alerts based on the alerts’ source location.
Note that this feature is enabled by integrating with MapBox's map service. MapBox is a pay-as-you-go service above a certain free usage cap. The free usage cap is 50K monthly map loads and 100K monthly searches, which should be more than sufficient for most BriefCam uses. There is no need to add a credit card to open a MapBox account. See MapBox pricing for pricing information, and specifically for the following modules: MapBox GL JS and Temporary Geocoding API.
Note that a map load occurs whenever a map is initialized on a webpage, including every time a user reloads a page. The maximum session length for a map load is 12 hours. If a user has the same map open after 12 hours, that will count as a new map load session. It's important to note that an interaction with the map does not count towards map loads (source: https://docs.mapbox.com/help/glossary/map-loads/).
To enable the Map view:
Create a business account in MapBox (https://account.mapbox.com/).
In MapBox, create an access token.
Paste the token in the BriefCam Administrator Console’s MapAccessToken environment setting.
