[en] By default, the Illumination Changes class does not appear in the Class list. To display this class in the BriefCam interface, set the clientEnableBackgroundFilter setting to true.

[en] When this feature is enabled, it increases the overall processing hardware requirements.

[en] For the Illumination Changes class to work properly, configure BriefCam to run in high-sensitivity mode. For more information, see Tilstand med høj følsomhed.

[en] In the OX.ini file, the EnableLightSwitchDetection parameter enables or disables the processing of the illumination changes events’ classifications. This setting should be edited manually for each ProcessingAlert processing instance. By default, it is set to false.

[en] The administrator setting and the OX setting should be either both enabled or disabled to avoid a redundant performance penalty or a misleading UI.

[en] There are two other parameters that can be changed in the OX.ini file to adjust the tolerance levels:

  • [en] MinimumLightSwitchArea – The minimum area in pixels of a rectangle that will be considered as an illumination change. The default value is 225 pixels. For the default, for example, 15x15 pixels will pass the threshold, but 15x14 will not.

  • [en] MinimumLightSwitchDelay – The minimum delay in seconds between the lights on and lights off that will be considered as an illumination change. The default and recommended value is 10 seconds. The minimum supported value is 8 seconds.

[en] For example, when this parameter is set to 10, if lights are turned on and then off after 8 seconds, both events (turn on and turn off) will not be detected.
